You Belong Here
Lancaster University Equestrian Club offers three types of membership: Team, Lessons, and Socials. Each have different perks that are suited for your needs and will inspire you to reach your fitness goals. Whether you want access to all our amenities or just a select few, we have the perfect membership option for you.
Team Program
£40
Are you ready to get pumped up? Lancaster University Equestrian Club offers the Team Program, our most intensive membership option. As a Lancaster University Equestrian Club member you’ll be divided into three groups of four: A's, B's, and Development. A's and B's will have a chance to qualify for Regionals and Nationals by competing for the university in BUCS (British University & Colleges Sport) Leagues, whereas Development competes in an unofficial league. You will train at the Eccleston Equestrian Centre every Wednesday afternoon with a 45 minute session of flatwork and jumping.

Sorting you into the right group will be done on Team Trials Day, something all new and existing members would have to do in the beginning of the term. To qualify, you would have to be comfortable with jumping 80cm high, as you would have to ride two horses and jump them both. If you do not fit in any group just yet, you can join the Lessons Program to improve and will always have a chance to try out next year!

Lessons Program
£40
If you are not entirely looking forward to training for the competitions and just want to work on your riding skills, the Lessons Program is our most popular option and may just be the one for you! Every Wednesday afternoon, we leave to Beaumont Grange Farm in order to be trained by two instructions with a maximum of 6 people riding in the field per session. We ask that you can at least walk, trot, and canter and you will be assessed in a trial to see if you are a novice, intermediate, or advanced rider.

Lessons typically rotate between flatwork and jumping, but we also hold fun sessions like mounted games and indoor cross country! With this, you will expand your riding skills beyond flatwork and jumping. Our Bookings Officer had prepared and published on our Facebook page a weekly plan for the term, which shows what activity we'll be doing every week. Make sure you can attend at least 50% of these lessons each term to keep your membership before it's given to someone else on the waiting list!

Socials Program
£10
Once you are enrolled in either Team or Lessons Program, you are automatically registered to the Socials Program. But if you are not, there is no problem signing up only for this program too!

This particular program comes with unlimited access to the Lancaster University Equestrian Club private weekly social events. These events, we hold every Wednesday evening, and are a way for us to get to know everybody in the club outside the field, whether you are from the Teams or Lessons Program, or even neither! This is the chance to introduce yourself to the club and make friendships that'll be there to support you through the term. We encourage everyone to step out and get more involved in our club with these trips activities that we planned for you! They range from night outs at Sugar, Beach Rides in the summer sun, and even trips to Badminton Horse Trials. One thing we'll say to you now: be prepared to dress up!

Become a Socials Program member today and start taking full advantage of the opportunities to try a new sport, work with horses, take a group trip, or enjoy drinking nights with a group of friends!
