About Us
Our Riding Story
Since our founding in the late 1900's, Lancaster University Equestrian Club has been serving students of all backgrounds a chance to work with horses alongside completing their degree. Whether you have been riding and competing since five or even if you lost touch with your riding skills and just want to rebuild them -- there is a place for you in our club. We only require that you can at least walk, trot, and canter to have a position in our Lessons Program. We always bring our BHS approved helmets and wear the appropriate outfit to training. Don't forget to check out the Health and Safety page if you are considering to join!

Can't do all three? No worries, we have other options for you. First, we can recommend you equestrian centres and connect you with a qualified coach. With that, you can train one-on-one until you perfect your basic skills, but still be part of our club and join the events we feature. Second, you can apply for the Social Membership where you will not be training in yards nor competing in competitions, but you can still take advantage of the special events and socials that will involve horses too.

With the wide array of programs available, Lancaster University Equestrian Club is the prime destination for anyone who wants to get involved in training, competing, and social events. Everything you need to know is right here and if you want to go the extra mile, we encourage you to keep up with us in our blog.
